Sports Inclusion Project aims to promote and develops adaptive sports, as well as to improve the environment for active sports participation of vulnerable young people. The project aims to create training programs and provide service for supporting families with a member with disabilities, and to strengthen competence of families for understanding the needs of members with disabilities and to establish functional patterns of behavior.
The project will enable the piloting of innovative service that represents the solution of key problems of the family in the process of de-institutionalization and prevention of institutionalization, enabling users to stay in the community.

Providing different kinds of assistance, the Center will offer logistical and working capacities to all organizations that need it, in one place. It will also propose many free amenities for persons with disabilities, such as free legal advice, volunteering services and existential information needed. Furthermore, the Center plans to organize various types of trainings, workshops and seminars that will directly help improve and advance the capacity and potential of organizations and individuals. Throughout two of its main areas, social entrepreneurship and social inclusion, the Center attempts to improve the position of the organizations dealing with people with disabilities as well as persons with disabilities themselves.

Key goal of the project is to contribute to the improvement of employment rights of persons with disabilities by providing a more active role to the civil society organizations, and enhancing the cooperation between these organizations and relevant local stakeholders. Other activities include the development of new and innovative platform regarding the employment policy monitoring, as well as the formation of the Union for the protection of employment rights of persons with disabilities.

Program Title: Perspectives on Social Inclusion of Roma Population

The intention of the project is to broadly contribute to the social inclusion of the Roma population. In order to provide the necessary conditions for social inclusion, the project was envisioned as a campaign that contained series of different workshops with various themes that aimed to reach diverse target groups within the Roma population and the wider community. This project was based on the idea that the new law on social protection was not fully implemented among the most marginalized groups in society.

The project deals with the promotion of inclusive education as an important element in the process of social inclusion of children with disabilities. Inclusive education provides an opportunity for children with special needs to be a part of the school system and the community, so as adults they are able to fully and equally participate in their respective communities.

Project aims to advance the dialogue within a civil society trough the development of the Youth Employment Platform (YEP) as an effective two-way communication and collaboration mechanism between the NGOs and other sectors inside local communities. This platform intends to tackle some of the crucial problems regarding the employment and other challenges that social disadvantaged groups encounter. The project aims to involve young people, members of marginalized groups and their parents, as well as persons working within the school system, public services and business sector.

Program Title: Academy of Political and Leadership Skills

Project aims to strengthen the leadership potential among the young representatives of persons with disabilities being the driving force that initiate change in our society, numerous agents representing the interests of marginalized groups and all-important actors that help create the inclusive society in Serbia. The Academy combines educational programs intended for young people, various training programs for upcoming instructors alongside good practices regarding the socioeconomic inclusion.

The overall goal of the project is to tackle a large number of important problems regarding the employment of persons with disabilities and their inclusion into the labor market. Therefore, this project focuses on the advancement of institutional capacities through the creation of an innovative Disability Employment Platform (DEP), that will enable the cooperation between relevant institutions on the one hand, and stakeholders on the other. DEP is an official platform that successfully pairs job-seekers with an adequate vacancy, in regards to their training, skills and experience.

This project aimed at increasing tolerance in the Serbian society by raising public awareness, and through the introduction of several EU anti-discrimination policies within the area of social politics in Serbia. The issue of discrimination was mainly addressed to public social services, children and young people, NGOs, various bodies in charge of national equality, alongside general public.

The project contributes to a better implementation of EU and national policies in the areas of environmental protection and social inclusion, through mechanisms of raising awareness and educating the public about the importance of including persons with disabilities in the process of environmental protection. Reinforcing the cooperation with relevant stakeholders ensures a higher level of employment and social inclusion of persons with disabilities, alongside poverty reduction, and creates better conditions for pollution reduction in the Republic of Serbia.

The aim of the project is to improve the employability and to create better conditions for a further career development of young people, through the promotion of career guidance. The project helped raise awareness and support within local communities regarding the inclusion and involvement of persons with disabilities in all sports. Alongside, within institutional and organizational milieu, it created all necessary conditions in order to increase the level of participation of marginalized groups, in the city of Belgrade.

Youth with Disabilities Forum initiated the project in order to reach full participation of persons with disabilities and promote equal rights in our society. The overall objective of the project is building capacities of persons with disabilities and local stakeholders within the field of activism and public advocacy. Partakers in this project aimed at promotion and a greater enforcement of the Law on Prevention of Discrimination Against Persons with Disabilities as to increase the social inclusion of marginalized groups.

Through the establishment of organized and sustainable communication system, the project intended to build the capacity of persons with disabilities to live as independently and as fully as possible within their respective communities, empower self-advocacy, and provide the general public with more information about the problems that marginalized groups encounter.

Program Title: Accessibility Bulletin

Duration: 2007 – 2008
This bulletin includes a list of all entities and institutions accessible for persons with disabilities that are of the utmost importance for a normal daily routine. One of the main purposes of this bulletin is to pinpoint a major accessibility problem that persons with disabilities face in public institutions as well as in other multifunctional objects.

The goal of the project was to introduce new approaches and trends in monitoring and reporting about the organizations dealing with persons with disabilities, as well as to train and educate journalists and broadcasters of both print and electronic media, how to implement such practices.

Alongside, the project tends to enhance the knowledge on social entrepreneurship and the development of business plans within marginalized groups.

The project is based on an approach that directly involves various sectors and contributes to the implementation of CSR Strategy in Serbia. The project works within the framework of a public campaign that entails different activities that assist with the planning and implementation of practical CSR policies. In addition, through the implementation of an Action Plan Strategy the project contributes to the general analysis of corporate social responsibility in Serbia.

The goal of the program is to improve the knowledge about the hiring and assessment processes of persons with disabilities, as well as employers’ capacity building in regards to these procedures. Trainings provided aim to address immediate and crucial problems and obstacles regarding the successful employment process of marginalized groups within all sectors in open labor market. This specific education is based on providing a general picture about the capabilities that persons with disabilities have, better communication between parties, and enhancing the implementation of good practices. The program is designed for all HR managers and other employees of various sectors within socially responsible businesses.

The project represents an innovative model of cooperation between corporate and civil sectors, as a form of practical application of the principles of social responsibility. The goal of the project is to contribute to the implementation of the new national employment policy through the creation of a Social Entrepreneurship Platform (SEP). SEP represents a key mechanism for the advancement of self-employment instruments of persons with disabilities, alongside a more effective engagement of local governments and business sectors. The platform represents a sustainable model that enables further development of social entrepreneurship and successfully identifies central issues critically important for a for long-term employment prospects for all marginalized groups.

Examination and reporting of the current normative and factual situation on social entrepreneurship were some of the main tasks of the project. Alongside, the project dealt with the existing potentials for social entrepreneurship of marginalized groups, and assessed the possibilities for social entrepreneurship within numerous organizations of persons with disabilities and private enterprises in five districts throughout Serbia. The overall goal of social entrepreneurship project was to enable the members of these organizations to take part in specific research activities, and help them apply their knowledge in practical and solid research.
