Updated: March 5, 2020

The Youth Disability Forum, in partnership with the Office of Information Technology and eGovernment, and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), implements the IT Retraining Program for Persons with Disabilities.

20 trainees were selected within the framework of the Public Invitation, and the program itself aims to develop the knowledge, skills and competences of persons with disabilities for employment in the IT sector, to provide training in the basics of web programming and to gain practical experience through the practice program.

The IT retraining program enables you to:
-20 persons with disabilities attend six-month training in the basics of web programming (WordPress, JavaScript), using a methodology that will enable the trainees to acquire knowledge after qualification that will qualify them for specific jobs in the IT sector. Mentoring during the training, along with career guidance and counseling, will add value to the program and contribute to the quality of the knowledge gained.

-učesnici pohađaju obuku za „meke veštine“. Svrha aktivnosti je podsticaj razvoju mekih veština polaznika kao preduslov uspešne adaptacije u radno okruženje.

-Practice in an IT company or IT sector for a minimum of 120 hours. The practice will directly improve the employability and competitiveness of persons with disabilities in the labor market, strengthen their employment capacities and enable them to acquire new skills and work experience (which is often one of the conditions for employment).

The training is delivered at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences in Belgrade, from November 2019 to May 2020.
