Youth with Disabilities invites applications for attending practices in companies for 10 young people with disabilities

Youth with Disabilities Forum invites all interested young people with disabilities from the territory of Belgrade to apply for the competition for attending practices. 

The competition is open to motivated young people with disabilities, who have up to 35 years and want to gain work experience through practice in economic subjects. Within two months of practice, young people with disabilities will have the opportunity to learn and gain experience, with the will of the Youth Forum with disabilities receive the monetary compensation on a monthly basis to cover the costs of transport and hot meals. 

Each of the selected practitioners will be allocated a mentor of the enterprise in which attend practice. The practice lasts 2 months: mid November 2018.- mid-January 2019 deadline is Thursday, 01.11.2018.

After the deadline for the application, shall be made in the selection of candidates. All applicants will be notified of the outcome of the selection. 

Selected candidates will, before the start attending practice, take a three-day training (12-14. November) to acquire additional knowledge and skills in the field of labor. Attendance at training is mandatory for selected trainees.

The expected results of the project are related to increased employment opportunities for young people with disabilities and acquiring new knowledge and skills by attending practice, while, on the other hand, employers have available piloted model practices for young people with disabilities, with the use of inclusive procedures. The program of practice was developed through the cooperation of representatives of business, civil and public sector, with experience in the field of employment of persons with disabilities.
